Biography
Harriet Georgia Ryan was born to magazine mogul, Benjamin Ryan and his model wife, Trisha. The famous pair were hoping for a boy, and instead got a little girl. Harriet—or Harri, as she prefers—has never once been allowed to forget that she was supposed to have been a boy. Even as her mother encouraged her towards modelling, it was still clear that Benjamin wanted a male heir to his empire.
Harri has tried to prove herself over the years by embracing her father’s career choice and diving into the world of magazine publishing. Many believe that it was Benjamin who pushed her to start up her own fashion magazine, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Where the Ryan patriarch makes his money in “serious” publishing, he sees his daughter’s magazine as frivolous. He is never happy with anything Harri does, and that just seems to make her work harder for what she wants, and what she wants to achieve. Even if secretly she wants his approval.
Because of her work, and social status, Harri has always moved in very high circles. She’s met a lot of publishing, PR, fashion and corporate types at various events which is how she got to know Aiden Lewis. The PR whiz and Harri hit it off instantly and they’ve been best friends since. He is one of the few people to ever see all sides of Harri Ryan, and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for him.
Harri doesn’t take crap, and she doesn’t dish it out either. She’ll tell you exactly what she likes, or doesn’t like and exactly how she wants things done when it comes to the magazine. Socially she’s a bit withdrawn in that she will only ever reveal as much as she needs to in order to keep connections open for business sake. She’s a bit of a man eater, her workaholic attitude stopping her from forming any lasting bonds, or pursuing dates. She’s not about hiring escorts either, and is a regular of Flynn Hunter.
